Who Am I?
I was born and raised in Johnston County, NC.
I graduated from Johnston County Public Schools and North Carolina Wesleyan College. At Wesleyan I was part of the inaugural football team and went on to play in the NCAA Division III playoffs as a senior. I graduated from Wesleyan with a degree in History and Secondary Education. Later on I earned my Masters in Learning, Design, and Technology from NC State University.
I teach Social Studies at Smithfield Selma High School. I have been finalist for the Johnston County Schools teacher of the year. Also at my school I have presented professional development sessions on using digital technology in the classroom to help support student learning and engagement.
